D431. A rare bell striking and repeating carriage clock, circa 1870, signed to the bottom of the backplate by the well- known retailers (and makers) Aubert & Klaftenberger.

The solid ebony case has fine brass stringing to either side at both the front and back of the case. The white enamelled dial, with roman numerals, is signed to the top Aubert and Klaftenberger, and below, Geneva. It is stamped to the base 519 together with various other numbers.
